Applicant month is May or how much is a Bulgarian graduate

in #traditions5 years ago (edited)

The word "entrant" in Bulgaria is not called the one who enters the university, as we have, but the one who finishes school. May in Bulgaria is a month of graduates, that is, applicants. It is clearly visible and audible. The fact is that the Bulgarian graduates have such a tradition: drive through the city with automobile tuples, leaning out into all the windows and hatches, and count as 12. How do you think, why is it up to 12? Because Bulgarians study for 12 years. And they have a six-point system. That is, an excellent student here is not Pyaterochka, but shesterochnik.

In general, last week, graduates of the 12th grade gave maturity - this is such a Bulgarian USE. According to the results of the matura, they will receive school certificates of maturity with which they can freely and freely apply to any higher education institution in Europe.

Statistics

According to last year’s statistics, 30,000 Bulgarian applicants enrolled in foreign educational institutions. Of these, 7,000 to England and almost as many to Germany and Holland. There is little interest in Russia.

By the way, 12,000 foreigners came to get higher education in Bulgaria. It is dominated by Turkish students, the rest from Asia, the USA and Africa, as well as Ukraine, England and Italy.

How much does an applicant

In the sense of how much it costs to celebrate graduation in Bulgaria. Here it is such a holiday, almost like a wedding. Many uninitiated tourists and guests of the capital, and the truth, think that all May and half of June in the country are chasing weddings. Because it looks like this: young uncles and aunties (they finish school at 18-19 years old, and for southern nations this is almost a pension) they go to brilliant tuples with balls and bows, and something joyfully yell at them, and all the others meet their cheers.

In general, this event is invested a huge pile of money, nerves and effort. They do not prepare for exams as graduation festivities.

Every year the Bulgarian media post the results of calculations how much is one graduate mom and dad.

This year the "prices" have significantly decreased: from 1000 levs (500 euros) to 4000 levs (2000 euros).

Dress graduates in a special store costs an average of 300 (150 euros) to 600 (300 euros). Imported dresses are cheaper: from 200 (100 euros) to 400 levs (200 euros).

Shirts for guys cost from 100 leva (50 euros), and shoes from 120 (60 euros). However, if the boy wants Italian, then it will be from 300 levs (150 euros).

Of course, if the dress or suit will be designer or made simply to order, then prices start at 1,000 euros.

In addition to outfits, graduates (especially girls) need handbags, hairstyles, makeup and manicures - it all starts from 100 leva (50 euros).

To hold the ball you need to hire a restaurant or hotel. Residents of mainland Bulgaria love to hire hotels on the coast, and then it costs from BGN 70 to BGN 120 per person per day.

Also here it is customary to celebrate your release with a small trip, for example, to Turkey or Greece. 180-300 BGN for the minimum package.

In addition, it is necessary to receive guests of the house, relatives and friends of the family - to treat everyone and collect gifts. Feast can do, depending on the scope, from 100 euros to 500.

By the way, cars for tuples are also not always their own - they are specially rented. Here prices start at 30 euros per day.

In general, many parents are forced to take consumer credit in order to celebrate the graduation party of their offspring.

What is the reason for the decrease in the cost of the “applicant's ball”? I think, in general, lower prices for such holiday attributes, due to their large range and competitiveness, the emergence of rental services, reducing the level of pathos due to stay in the European Union - that is, fewer and fewer people see value in gypsy diversity and Asian proportions. Increasingly, they count money, value content, and not candy wrappers. They prefer to pay for prestigious universities, rather than disposable ball gowns.

Thank you for your time and attention.
