Kodiak ayılarının boyları 5 metreye kadar ulaşabiliyor
Ayılar fiziksel olarak en güçlü hayvandır. Asla ve asla 1-2 aslan kaplan veya herhangi bir yırtıcı bir ayıyı avlayamaz olgun bir ayıyı avlamak için en az 10 aslandan oluşan bir sürü halinde saldırmaları gerekir.
Ayılar 4 ayak üstünde at kadar hızlı koşabilir
O ağırlığına rağmen basitçe ağaçlara tırmanabilir
En önemlisi dünyada en keskin koku alan bir hayvandır.
