Engelliler icin Amerika'da Gelistirilen Uygulama
Amerikan Ulastirma Bakanligi ile beraber universitemizin de ortakligi ile gerceklestirilen bu programda amac trafik isiklarinda bekleyen engelli vatandaslarin guvenligini bir nebze olsa da arttirmak.
Yapilan calismalar ve analizler sonucu goruldu ki; bu kavsaklarda en cok tehlike altinda olan 2 grup var. Bunlardan birincisi cocuklar, ikincisi ise engelli vatandaslar. Safety City adinda bir program baslatan ulastirma bakanligi, bununla cocuklari bilinclendirme amaci guduyordu. Bu program sonrasinda daha da geliserek engelli vatandaslar icin uygulamalar gelistirmeye basladi.
Bu asagida gordugunuz resim de gelistirilen uygulamalardan birini gosteriyor. Resimde yer alan ve telefonu tutan beyfendi gorme engelli. Yanindaki arkadas ise uygulamanin nasil calistigini anlatiyor. Aslinda calisma mekanizmasi cok basit. Ekstra bir GPS unitesiyle beraber bireyin nerede oldugunu buluyor ve hangi caddeye bakiyorsa orda isigin yesil olup olmadigini ve cadde ismini soyluyor.
Bunu gerceklestirebilmek icin asagida gordugunuz ufak bir mikro bilgisayar gerekli. Ayrica lokasyonu daha iyi bulabilmek icin kavsaklara ekstra bir anten de takilmasi gerekiyor. Amerikan ulastirma bakanligi ilk once en tehlikeli kavsaklardan baslayarak butun hepsine bu tarz antenleri takmasi bekleniyor.
