Kar Leoparı bir diğer adı ile Kar parsı olarak’ta bilinmektedir.kar leoparı kedigiller ailesine aittir.Kar leoparı ortalama 27-54 Kg arasında değişkenlik göstermektedir.Ayrıyetten 1.2 veya 1.5 metre arasında uzunluklara sahiptirler.Kar leoparların kuyrukları ise 91 cm’dir.Kar leoparlarının postları kalındır ve gri renktedir ve koyu renktede benekleri vardır.Kar leoparlarının patileri çok geniş olduğu için kar’a batma gibi bir durum yaşamamaktadır.
Kar leoparının yaşadığı yere göre avlanma türü değişkenlik gösterir.Himalayalar’da koyun ile beslenmektedirler. Altay dağlarında ise dağ keçisi ile besleniyorlar. Ancak aralıklı olarakta tavşan ve marmot da avlandıkları görülmüştür.Kar leoparları genellikle yalnız dolaşırlar.Kar Parsı vakfı verilerine göre Dünya’da toplam 3.500 yada 5.000 arası pars kalmıştır.
Snow leopard is also known as snow leopard with another name. Snow leopard belongs to family. Snow leopard varies between 27-54 Kg on average. It has lengths between 1.2 and 1.5 meters. The leopards have a length of 91 cm. The hides are dark gray and have dark-colored specks.
The type of hunting varies according to the place where snow leopard lives. They are fed with sheep in the Himalayas. In the Altai mountains they feed on mountain goats. However, it has been seen that they are also hunting rabbits and marmots intermittently. Car leopards usually only go out alone. According to the Karparsi Foundation, there are 5,000 parses in 3.500 places in the world.
