Geothermal energy is the type of energy obtained from direct or indirect routes in places where geothermal resources are located.

Serving different purposes such as heating, cooling, electricity generation and mineral production, this type of energy also helps the tourism sector with the help of spas. It plays an important role in the clean energy resources in our country.

Advantages of Geothermal Energy

-It is among the eco-friendly energy sources,

-There is no need for fossil fuels to heat or vaporize water to generate electricity with geothermal,

-There is no external dependence because it is a natural energy source,

-Production yields are very high,

-The investment cost is also low because it is obtained directly underground.

Disadvantages of Geothermal Energy

-Some harmful chemicals are found in the structures of geothermal resources. Therefore, it is necessary to be subjected to re-injection processes,

-Fluidic materials from these sources generally contain corrosive and polluting minerals,

-Research and preparation costs are high,

-Sufficient space must be available for drilling machines,

-Energy transmission may be inefficient,

-Because of this, geothermal systems should be close to settlement areas.

-Üretim verimi çok yüksektir.

-Yeraltından elde edildiği için yatırım maliyeti çok düşüktür.

Dezavantajları:

-Kaynaklarda bazı zararlı kimyasal bulunduğundan re-enkeksiyon işlemine tabi tutulmaktadır.

-Kaynaktan çıkan akışkan maddeler aşındırıcı ve kirli minareller içermektedir.

-Hazırlık ve araştırma maliyetleri yüksektir.

-Sondaj için yeterli alan gerekmektedir.

-Enerji üretimi verimsiz olabilir.

-Yerleşim bölgesine yakın olması gerekmektedir.
