History of Anatolia #1 - Where is Anatolia?
Anatolia is located at the west of the Asian continent.
The borders of Anatolia; Black Sea in the north, Mediterranean in the south, Aegean and the Sea of Marmara in the west. Eastern borders were accepted as Euphrates during Ottoman times. But after the I. Turkish Geography Congress, Turkey's Asian lands were named as Anatolian geography.
Anadolu toprakları Asya Kıtası'nın en batısında bulunur. Anadolu'nun sınırları; kuzeyde Karadeniz, güneyde Akdeniz, batıda Ege ve Marmara Denizi'ne kadardır. Doğu sınırları ise Osmanlı zamanında Fırat Nehri olarak kabul edilirken, 1941'de toplanan Birinci Türk Coğrafya Kongresi'nden sonra Türkiye'nin Asya'da kalan tüm kısmına Anadolu coğrafyası ismi verilmiştir.
