Gül yapraklarını biraz kaynar suda beklettikten sonra bir miktar limon suyu ilave ederek hazırlanan usare (öz su).
Osmanlı mutfağında şekerlere ve şerbetlere renk vermek için kullanılırdı.Şerbetli tatlılara muazzam bir tat ve renk veriyor.

After keeping the rose petals in a little boiling water, the usare (self water) prepared by adding some lemon juice.
It was used to give color to candies and sherbets in Ottoman cuisine. It gives a tremendous taste and color to the sherbet sweets.
