This guy's more square than a blockchain. I don't like to be mean, but for someone who has been FUDDING on Steem for the past half a year without even having an account to experience the platform.. he seriously should've known better about Steem and the fundamental purpose of blockchains. It's not that difficult, especially for those with skin-in-the-game. But I guess he's too biased. @riverhead gave a pretty good quote earlier on the situation:-

Bitcoin doesn't have a monopoly over what a blockchain is. It's the first, but not the only approach to design blockchains. Alright.. enough bitching for the month. Not good for health.

I couldn't believe those who had done so much research and put so much effort into "exposing" steem didn't even understand the basics. They didn't know there was a block explorer? Really? It's listed right there on coinmarketcap. That's just... amazing to me.
I think he is an ex wall street trader, gone the brainwashed Bitcoin maximalist route. Has no clue from a technical programming perspective, since he didn't even realize the content was embedded immutably in each block.
Totally agree kevin! His response to STEEM is fear-based .. the same reason he attacks every alr. crypto project he can, in any way possible - like any self-described evangelist he is over-invested in Bitcoin's future, that is for certain. On top of this, he's an arrogant twat. :)
To be fair there are lots of scammy projects and maybe he just wants to inform. But i guess hes probably not very well versed with blockchains to give a trustworthy opinion..

Never heard of tone vays before. I did a quick search and find next Thursday there will be an AMA with him.

Judging by the amount of attention Tone Vays has got on Steemit... He has won.

To be clear, I meant it only in jest. A troll only loses when ignored; they feed on attention, and every bit of that gained is a win. It was all a harmless way to imply that Tone Vays may just be a troll.
I think that he is more than a troll. He is actively spreading disinfo and FUD well beyond this community.
Besides that, I think he is creepy :-)

Agreed. That guy wasn't prepared and was full of mistaken assumptions that would have been cleared up easily by taking the time to learn something first. I didn't think it was worth a listen. But controversy sells.
It was worth it to hear Ned explain Steemit in a simple, elegant fashion.
