TODAY IS NATIONAL ARMED FORCES DAY!

Every day provides us with opportunities to celebrate. Today I invite you to celebrate the men and women who currently serve or once served in the U.S. Military.

MILITARY SERVICE

Thanks to those who serve,
and don’t get the respect they deserve.

I find it distasteful,
that people are disgraceful.

Our country you defend,
what most don’t comprehend,

is your thrown into the abyss
because of politics.

Whether politicians are right or wrong,
I appreciate what you have undergone.

Deployed for a length of time,
time with family declines.

While your apart,
your family has a worrying heart.

You put your life on the line,
for pay that doesn’t align,

with the risk you take,
for your country’s sake.

You accepted the call,
to protect us all.

So again, thank you,
for all you do!
