Philip Morris International said it produced less toxic cigarettes - an innovation that would save many lives and eliminate smoking in the United States.

The new cigarette technology, called IQOS, consists of a tube that warms the tobacco sticks rather than burning them. Using heat instead of flame, the tobacco company says IQOS devices eliminate about 90 to 95 percent of the toxic components in cigarette smoke, according to a Washington Post report.
