Aliens Among Us

They have been here all along, watching and waiting,
While the voices on TV only argue now, they've stopped debating,
Ubiquitous yet unrecognizable, they come in different colours, shapes and sizes,
politicians and musicians, fighters and writers, leaders and teachers.
Some go unnoticed while others win prizes,
Some stay quiet while others are preachers.

Watching and waiting, collecting information and building a fortress,
we the sheep need to remove the blanket that lay before us,
From that tragic day in September over a decade ago,
to the Rockefellers, Jay-z and the Clintons, how did we not know,

They help modify the fruit and vegetables we eat,
while polluting the air we breathe when we walk down the street,
They have been here all along, how did we not see,
blinded by ignorance, greed, deception or whatever the reason may be,
it is time we the people wake up and remove the veil,
become aware of what's happening and collectively exhale,
For if we continue down this dark and dangerous path,
there will be no coming back and we will all face the wrath.
