I decided to do a bit of bush cleaning beside the tent.

Jay got that beam fitted, time to help him bring out another beam to work on.

damn picture, I even rotated it to fit right but nooooo!!

I noticed the tent had a few spots where the stitching was starting to come out so I quickly fixed them up.

Great! Superb post! Thanks.

Thanks for viewing! ☺️

Okay what the hell is that do dad that we keep seeing you fix the tent with?

A sewing awl, it’s pretty neat and easy to use.

Amazing hard work to make a cabin.🎿

I never seen before, I like your job.
Bless you.
Take Care.

Thank you! It is definitely hard work but it will be well worth it! :)

Welcome.

You are really a great hardworking woman. I like your spirit of work.

Do you guys have any carpentry background?

This is our first time timberframing, we don’t have any carpentry background.

wow what a job.. a good honest rewarding days work!

This post has been featured in the @offgrid-online Weekly Curation. Thank You for sharing you cabin progress updates :)

Thanks!
Always happy to be a part of your weekly curation! :)

Such a nice build, I love timber frame - the barn behind my old house was timber frame. @goldendawne - she's using one of those hand sewing tools from the cover of your earlier edition prepper/bushcraft curations :) I've wanted one of those for a while, any way you could do a post about it @leemlaframboise ? It would easily qualify for the hand tool contest that ends sunday night too - no pressure, it's the busy season for a lot of us :D

Thanks!
That was the first time I have ever used a sewing awl, I didn't even know what the heck a sewing awl was when Jay mentioned it! LOL! I had to check out some videos on it before I took it out to the cabin, it is so easy to use.
I think I will catch ya on the next hand tool contest if you run another in the future, for sure! I look around right now and the things I need to do is a bit overwhelming at the minute, I wish there was like 10 of me! ...just for one day... ok, maybe for a week! haha! 😂

I hear ya there, I'm barely putting up 2 jackdub posts per week - I had so much more time in the winter :)
