RE: TIL That 27 Year Old Stradman Paid $110,000 For His Lamborghini. Other Mysteries Still Remain!

in #til7 years ago

Full-time YouTubers make money from sources other than just Google Adsense. Stradman and others get paid for content, by featuring products or visiting establishments (he visits a lot of exotic car dealerships and customizers, for a start). I would be surprised if he plunked down 110k in cash for the car. He most likely makes payments, just like any other car. I'd say the Lamborghini was a smart investment, considering it is the principle reason people subscribe to his channel and watch his videos. It is almost entirely responsible for his income. Plus it looks very fun!

I have wondered if the exotic car dealerships are utilizing his for advertising at this point. It is hard to say. I have never made payments on a car. I don't consider a person to own something if they are making payments on it.
He almost has to be making payments because I saw another video where he was saying he was making $17 / hour after he graduated college for a year. Then he quit his job and was living out of his car in LA filming exotic cars. So it seems like there was a year and a half possibly where he really wasn't banking much of anything. That would have gave him 3 years to bank up $110,000+ after tax and paying living expenses and all that. Not impossible but not likely.
