Gravity. The most familiar but most mysterious of natures forces.
About 100 years ago Albert Einstein made a mind-blowing discovery. What we feel as gravity is in fact the push and pull of space in time. He called this idea, general relativity. It is perhaps the most remarkable thing in nature that came from one single mind.
General theory of relativity
This general theory of relativity is one of the greatest achievement in physics. Published in 1916, it explains that what we perceive as the force of gravity in fact arises from the curvature of space and time.
Only now we have the opportunity to explore what Einstein thought about one hundred years ago. Super-massive black holes in the center of galaxies. Waves of gravity that distorts space and time. The evolution of our entire universe.
How did the concept of something that explains so much, come from the mind of one man?
Albert Einstein had a magical mind. He could take a hard physical problem and actually see the whole process and see it visually in his mind.
To gain an insight into Einstein's mind and the general theory of relativity we need to trace down the "thought" experiments that lead to his giant breakthrough.
What is a thought experiment?
Gedankenexperiment, (German: “thought experiment”) term used by German-born physicist Albert Einstein to describe his unique approach of using conceptual rather than actual experiments in creating the theory of relativity.
Very interesting read. Here are 5 of Einstein's thought experiments described in detail. Quite amazing to imagine someone made these discoveries by only thinking and visualizing this in his head.

Wow this is interesting but I don't believe a word of it. He was a weird and interesting and brilliant person. I don't think he would have taken credit for anything he did not think of himself...but then he is dead and we can only get information that was recorded in time. People sometimes try and discredit others just because they want to start some kind of suspicion. Very weird indeed.
