So I downloaded TokTok this morning to play around with it.
and was surprised to see this in the menu:
Did you catch that? That... right there... "Balance"
Seems TikTok has a "coin" for buying virtual items.
But as I mentioned in the video, without a blockchain where you control your content and tokens via a private key, you're still just the product creating value for someone else.
So I poked around a bit, watched a few videos, got laughed at by my kids for creating a video...
Some of the videos caught my attention not just for creativity but existential need for attention, even if it's just 15 seconds. It got me thinking about us humans so I wrote a little poem thingy down, something I rarely do. Enjoy. Or not. Whatever. Heheh.
Looking for connection.
Longing for meaning.
Looking past the trap of purpose.
Knowing the looking is also striving.
Too distracted to sit with the being.
Hating the distraction while swiping for more.
Feeling an infinite consciousness trapped in a stimulus response machine.
Understanding the feeling is also not true.
Questioning the true true.
Taking responsibility seriously while the result is not serious.
Overwhelmed by the connection to everyone and everything.
The suffering, the joy... needing a tribe.
While shunning tribalism.
The answers, as always, are not out there.
They are right here, right now, within.
As we ground ourselves and connect to our being...
We find ourselves in everyone and everything.
We are the same matter, the same vibrations, the same distortion.
We are the universe understanding itself.
No wonder we are so confused.
Knowing yourself means knowing others.
I don't know your story, but mine is simply to create a world we all want to live in. Do you like that story also? Want to join me in it? Do you have a better one I should join? Can we even define "should" without a good story?
