What is confusing to me is why monthly fees are not covered by Speak tokens. You would be able to list Speak tokens on SE and obtain the STEEM, but it would give a clear sink to your token. Currently, I do not see the value of the token because a clear sink available to you guys (monthly payments) is not requiring the token.

Just offering my perspective here. I believe it would add a great deal of attraction to your token if it covered creator fees.
