What steem community needs from you !

I decided to create a video and to write a post to share what I learned from steem community being here for almost 2 years and half.

I learned a lot about the steem community by reading posts and comments and from the behaviour of steemians.

Even being here for so long, I still do some mistakes that the community doesn't accept at all.

I will do my best to not do that more.

So, I want to share with newcomers and all who are here what exactly the community needs from you.

First of all :

Of course no spam and no plagiarism. Spam can be any form of links you spread in comments, even even writing the same text everywhere, or even sometimes promoting links in posts. Sometimes even creating a lot of posts per day is considered as a spam. Multi accounts as well if you are trying to circle votes between them. Pictures, music, videos if they are from downloaded from websites without permition, unless that content if free and you can use it. Even though, you always have to provide the link of that used content. Or at least tell about the sources.

The second thing :

That's the quality of your posts and comments. Especially of posts. You have to do your best to provide the best quality, by formating your posts very well. Not using links, but clickable text. Taking care about the main picture if it's a post and the thumbnail if it's a video. Even your writing matters, it should be with less orthographic mistakes. Make sure also that your post is providing value, but not only sharing something just to hare and to get upvotes.

The third thing :

Your behavior as a creator and a curator here and that's the most important part, because it's related directly with money. Of course any type of begging is not welcome, so never ever ask for support, upvotes or resteems and if you had to, just say sorry. But, it's better to never beg at all. Don't upvote your self, especially comments. It's of course better to not upvote yourself at all. Even if you are creating a project or a community, don't do that, because the community don't like it ( no matter how much steem power you have ). Even if you are a curator in a project, don't do that at all. That's a golden rule.

Now the community is even digging deeper and they are determinating those who are upvoting others to get an upvote back. I even saw someone asking a community about why they are following random people. So, everything now is watched by the community.

About flagging people it's also an other story. Try to flag only spam and plagiarism and don't let anyone tell you what to flag. Always decide yourself what's good and what's not. We should be independent creators and we should have the full control of our accounts. Sometimes even upvoting some people is prohibited, so learn about those who you are upvoting and think twice before you upvote suspicious content.

If someone will attack you with downvotes, try to find out the reason behind that. You can ask that steemian first before going to downvote him back even if your account is little. If you can't reach that person, just ask the community why you've been downvoted and find the reason. If you found yourself mistaken, just stop doing what you were doing before. But, never ever jump into flagwar, that's not welcome by the community at all.

Respect those who are here for a long time, even if you don't like something from them. Try to learn about who is right and who is wrong and don't judge any part, because you could be the victim after all.

Try to be professional and create for the niche that you are looking for. If you don't have one, just try to understand what's the best niche for you.

Even will applying all that, sometimes you may don't do things right, because those ethics can always change, so stay updated.

That's how you became a steemian. We learn here everyday something new, no matter how much time we spent here.

I'm writing this for anyone who is confused about what the community wants from him. I'm even writing this for myslef to follow what I'm writing, I'm also a human and I can be mistaken sometimes or I can just forget about something.

I hope this post and video is useful for you and I didn't spend so much long time in steem for nothing. lol

If you want to support me, you can watch my video, it's important for us in 3speak.

But, anyway, what do you think about this all. Am I right ? Or I may missed something ? If yes, please tell me more about things you see steem community needs from us as creators, I may learn from you as well.

Enjoy my posts and videos.

Thanks for your attention.

Cheers. ☺

I think there are many behaviors we've learnt over the years going forward on steem and well it's been like a regulations and rules and I hope going forward people who just don't want to put in hardwork will steem that steem is pure hardwork really and spamming and Link pasting won't get them anywhere

Of course. I hope newcomers wil learn something from this post. Sometimes even those who are here for a long time don't get the new ethics and they get punished by the community. It's not that easy to cach up everything and we have always to dig deaper to understand what's right and what's wrong to do.

@clixmoney, This is absolutely true and definitely it will educate newcomers. In my opinion when it comes to Self Voting then i think that when people start accumulating more Steem Power with that Voting Tendencies changes. Stay blessed.

Yeah, but more people don't like self upvotes than those who like it. Even the curation now is 50/50 to make the self upvote less profitable to push those who were upvting themselves before stop doing that at all. In fact it's more profitable, because a lot of people when they see someone upvoting himself, they will not upvote him for the long term.

True, it was my general observation. Have a great time ahead.
