Yes, I agree, it means almost nothing and I would be doing the same amount regardless of a list. Lots of people are motivated by it though so theoretically it is very good for the blockchain.
Agreed, tracking performance is a very valuable too.l when trying to motivate or stay on track. You were in RE so know that better than most.
