Is it wrong to expect in life?

The Lord Buddha said " Desire is the root cause of suffering ". You very well know that desires are those expectations that we expect from anything whether it is from humans or from nature or whatever it may be. I think what lord Buddha said was true and will always remain true because he was the person who got enlightenment and does not have any desires.

We know very well expectations and desires are part of human behavior and we can't avoid it that much easily. It would have been avoided if we are animals or plants and would love moment to moment without thinking about past and future. But we are humans and has the ability to think.

We feel bad when we expect something from those for whom we have done a lot in the past and now we need help from them and they are not clearly denying but giving excuses that are really frustrating.

So we should make our mind realize that we can control our desires and expectations and upto some extent these expectations are fine but there fulfilment is not in our control so don't be so sad when we did not get desired results.
