THE SHOPPING GAME; 16/7/2020 – LOCAL MARKET SHOPPING
I’m pleased to bring you details of my shopping today. I went to Okra Market, a local market here in Iriebe, Rivers State, Nigeria. The market’s name is coined from the historical account of the place which used to be a place for okra sellers to supply okra in large quantities to traders coming from the urban area of Port Harcourt city. The place later developed to a market as people started selling more food items and got the place expanded. Thus, the market still bears the name Okra Market till date.
That’s by the way, here’s the food items I got today:

Goat meat - N3,500($8.86)(42.19 Steem)
Rice(5kg) - N1,800($4.56)(21.69 Steem)
Oranges- N100($0.25)(1.21Steem)

Afang leaves - N100($0.25)(1.21Steem)
Melon - N600($1.52)(7.23 Steem)
Atama leaves - N200($0.51)(2.41 Steem)
Stock fish - N500($1.27)(6.03Steem)

Onions - N100($0.25)(1.21Steem)
Odusa leaves - N100($0.25)(1.21Steem)
Crayfish - N500($1.27)(6.03Steem)

The items were used to prepare three kinds of soup, namely: Afang soup, Atama soup and Melon soup.

The three different types of leaves: Atama, Odusa, Water leaves....got me interested in your shopping day post. See...I got to know three different types of leaves today which I never heard before and curiously I google it and got to learn that there are mostly found in Africa.
So you tell me how do the soup made out of these leaves taste? Do you use this for soup only or other dishes are prepared using these leaves?
