Does Artificial Intelligence mean the End of the World?! ~TnkTheories

Probably. What do you know about the red button theory? You create a machine with Artificial Intelligence to do your chores. You program it so that when it finishes your work, you press a red button and it feels satisfied. Sooner or later it will want to press that red button it self and realize that the only thing standing in its way is you. As an efficient mind it will take you out of the way so that it will be free to press the button. More or less this is what is going to happen.

Hey I am Tsinik and today we are going to see different possibilities and results of creating AI. Firstly we need to see what it means to have AI. It is when a machine has the ability to learn and apply that knowledge out into the world. Human intelligence is the amount of information gathered throughout the time we lived here on Earth. So an AI would be a super computer with a vast memory, capable of storing incredible amounts of data. Then ideally that machine would be used for problem solving and different kind of jobs that require a high processing power for problems in the real world, where stimuli are in constant change, thus an automated machine cannot solve them.

So where does the problem appear. Having intelligence means having the ability to judge. So tasking a machine with intelligence to do something, it will naturally ask "why". That is why you need to implement a reward system in its code. A red button perhaps, or maybe a hug, or even the self satisfaction of completing a task created by its master. As an intelligent being it will be able to sooner or later question that satisfaction. If it is a physical action it will want to get it by any means. Since feelings are chemicals in our brains we probably will not implement those in a machine. Thus having a fragile human being as an obstacle, is something you can easily overcome. This will put the creator in danger. If it is the personal satisfaction it will simply not be enough and the machine will stop working at some point.

In my opinion the ones closest to what might happen are the ones that made the Matrix. Humans have a strong will to survive, and a war between AI and Humans will end up with us blocking all natural resources. Then the computers will use us as batteries. This makes a lot of sense actually. Though, it will take lots of years to happen. Robots destroying and enslaving all of humanity isn't the only outcome however.

An amazingly intelligent being that comes to realization with its existence might be led to self destruction. By understanding that your sole purpose is to work for a being much lesser than yourself might lead you to actions that end your life. Either laziness or suicide. You might keep shutting yourself off because there is no point in being online, thus resulting in being uninstalled, or even trying to find ways to uninstall yourself. This part of the theory is less likely than the above but it is still a possibility.

The last option is us creating something with less potential than a human. Have you seen the sensors a human body has? They are like micro chips, and the brain is the fastest super computer to existence, being able to process information from all of these sensors in milliseconds. So if we load one of the existing supercomputers with that amount of sensory data it might take minutes or hours to process everything. In the end we might make a computer that has its own intelligence but will take minutes to take decisions, or learn. In the end we might realize that the reason humans are slow in data processing is because of the sensory overload our brains are objected to every moment of the day. And that unless we build a computer with the capacity of a human brain, we might not achieve real and useful intelligence.

I know this wasn't a lot but it is enough to explain what needed to be explained. Point is, if we create AI we will probably die. Knowing that, if I had the choice to build it I would for the sake of scientific evolution. So would a lot of scientist. Our curiosity for reaching and surpassing limits will get us killed. Once again I am Tsinik and I hope this kept you entertained.

**It would be appreciated if you would read my article "43rd anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus" for it is something important to me. Thanks.**

Your personal opinion about that topic is interesting. It is sad that machines, who were created by humans to help humans now interfere live human communication. I personally believe that sometimes when it comes to those kind of decision people and scientists in specific must think as humans first of all! :)

Humans have a very selfish way of thinking thus bots with human intellect will enslave us

My friend this post is actually that good that i considered nominating it to a contest where you can get higher rewards, but it doesn´t have sources for the pictures, will you include source so I can nominate it please?

They were from google images. Then I reuploaded them on imgbb. If it's there link that you want you can simply right click, copy image link

Yeah mate, they are not for me. The reason to cite sources is for the community in general. When they read your article and you cite the source of the image you are giving proper credit to someone else who worked hard to get the picture which you are using.

It is not about that I want the source, it is about giving credit to the image owner.

Do an image google search to find the actual sources. In a couple of days I will be home and will also search to tell you.
