THE DIARY GAME : 01/08/2020 : DAY 1. MY PERFECT SATURDAY

I'm endlessly happy to start the Diary Game with you, especially as a member of the @ukrainiandreamer team!

Few words about our team.

Our captain, @alexmove, has been inspiring us not to be afraid to dream big, and I've suggested to name us "Ukrainian Dreamers". But there's a symbols limit for names on Steemit, so Alex found a solution: to call our team "Ukrainian Dreamer"💙💛

Also, I'm glad that my skills in Adobe Illustrator appeared useful — I could design our team's logo and some banners.

That's why I like everything about our team identity😊 And if you like the environment (even digital) where you live and create, you'll feel really joyful and satisfied🤗

Now the diary part 📖

Yesterday we (me, Grisha, and our friend Andrey) have come to visit our best friends in Vinnytsia city. Got there almost at midnight.

Our friends are Olya and Ruslan, a married couple with two children. But for spending great time together they've sent the kids to granny for few days.

And we had a great plan for today: to go to Cherepashyntsi to have picnic with barbecue, and maybe to swim. Our friends have a car, so it was easy to get there: about 40 min of driving.

None of us has ever been to this place before but we've seen it in YouTube a lot. Thanks to sky-blue water in a flooded quarry and picturesque nature this location is called "Vinnytsia Maldives"🌊

We'll, I can state we weren't disappointed! Arrived there and saw a beautiful view:

We met just one problem: chilly weather. It was nearly +19°C. But it was impossible not to feel this clean azure water on our skin😌

By the way, the water was really warm. Just the skies were covered with heavy grey clouds while we were swimming🙄 I could took pictures when it still was sunny. So, same minute we dived, the rain has started. Of course, we ran away and hid inside the wooden alcove.

It wasn't raining too long, but we could finish frying barbecue: fish and meat.

Also we baked potatoes in foil and ate huge watermelon🍉

And this is true Ukrainian dish: salo (cured slabs of fat from pork belly)🤤

We drank only beer and cider as Ruslan was a driver and Olya is actually pregnant😇 As for me, I had some stomach upset yesterday, so didn't drink alcohol, too.

In the evening the rain has started again, and it has become really cold, so we decided to drive home. This sky, though...

Now we're drinking tea and enjoying the company 'cause haven't seen each other since February🥰

I really recommend this place for camping or picnic, guys. There are lots of tents here, people come by cars or bicycles.

To rent an alcove costs 300 uah (10,76 usd or 51,24 steem). But you should bring your own mangal or grill equipment. To put your own tent there is free of charge.
