HOW TO POST Using Wordpress

OK, all you lovely people who are now Authoring for @THEALLIANCE

 

Here is a simple and straight forwards guide with all the basics.

Nothing complicated, in fact it is easier than eating a slice of chocolate cake!

STEP 1.

LOGIN!

If you make three mistakes in a row with the password or the silly captcha thingamobob, don't stress. Go make yourself a coffee, as you will have a 20 minute Time Out before than what you can try again!

 

STEP 2

CLICK ON NEW (POST)

 

STEP 3

WRITE YOUR POST!

 

STEP 4

Now that you have all your lovely typing done and you are happy with how your post looks, then you need to start checking on the right hand side of the screen.

From top to bottom:

First check that the Twitter option says "YES"

 

CATEGORIES

Then choose one of the following two categories:

i) Allies
ii) The Alliance.

So basically, if your post is about The Alliance, then choose "The Alliance", if it is about what you or a community you are a part of are doing, then choose "Allies".

If not sure, then choose both.

Leave the other options blank.

 

TAGS:

Remember to use a comma to separate them and don't forget to click "ADD" once done.

&

STEEMPRESS

Just make sure that the Steempress box is ticked.

 

THEN COMES THE FUN PART!

THE FEATURED IMAGE!

This will show up at the very top of your post.

It will also be the featured image on Steem.

What am I talking about?

It will be the image next to the post:

Now, when adding images, if you have a URL from where you can get an image, USE IT.

Will save a lot of space on our server and on Steemit Inc.s server too!

Use the same process, just click on the left hand side of the screen where it says URL.

 

IF NOT, if you are uploading a photo, it has to be 2MB or less.

Any way, once you have added the "FEATURED IMAGE"

It will look like this:

 

Note: Same process for adding media (images) into your post. In the editor above the typing area, you will see an "Add Media" button, use that.

Now that we have covered all the hard stuff, here comes the best part:

 

STEP 5

 

Once you have checked all that needs checking on the right hand side and added your Featured Image.

 

Scroll back up and click "PUBLISH"

 

Don't stress if you notice a mistake.

You can always o back to your post and FIX IT!

Choose the Edit option under the post listing and fix whatever you think needs fixing.

Everything else except for the Twitter option will remain the same.

The Twitter option will now read "NO" as it has Tweeted it and the link leads to you post here. Plus it won't allow double tweets of the same thing, so just don't stress out. You can't go wrong.
