🚛Autobots,🚔ROLL OUT!🚙 (My List of Loved & Not-So-Loved Voting Bots)

in #thealliance7 years ago (edited)

Today, I would like to share with you my 'preferred' list of voting bots here on Steemit. These are my go-to bots, the ones that I have come to love for various reasons. You may or may not agree, it's a personal choice which ones you decide to use (if any) and how you use them. Below is a list I have compiled of the bots I use most frequently and why.

#1 - @sneaky-ninja

This particular bot, despite what anyone tries to convince me of otherwise, will always be my favorite. The reasons being are I actually helped write the backstory and edited some of the pictures for @michaeldavid. It's the only bot out there with an actual fictional story that it posts, which separates it heavily from the others in the originality category. Initially, it was created for members of #thealliance, but as his notoriety has grown, we found it near impossible to keep other people from using his masterful ninja skills. Big shout out to @yabapmatt for responding so quickly and listing him on the Steem Bot Tracker.

#2 - @treeplanter

Wait what? Yes, @treeplanter. I know, I know, most people are like, "that doesn't hardly give you anything". But for me, it's a matter of principle with this one. I'm sure fellow allies like @reko and @rumplestiltskin would agree that the initiative behind this bot is one of the best. It actually takes most of the proceeds from its earnings and uses it to plant trees! It's Earth Day every day for that little automaton. A hidden bonus with this one now is it calls in the orginal works bot (purposely left the @ off so you can see it in the comments) to check your posts now too! So, it's like a Buy One, Get One kind of deal. Granted, neither are huge on the monetary side, but they look really inspiring in my comments.

#3- @buildawhale

This bot has never failed me. I was asked early on if I wanted to be one of the curators for this particular venture and declined as I was busy building #thealliance and didn't quite understand the project. Kind of wish I would have now! But then again, where would all my allies be? I know @nicnas and @bethalea are having fun with the new toy though, and I really like the curation digest they have come out with. Good on ya guys, keep up the quality work you're doing there!

Honorable Mention - @bellyrub

This big tummied bot sure packs a punch. If you want your post to hit the trending or hot tab quickly, you definitely need to get this guy to vote on it. He's like - super-gulping up minnows and giving them fantastic rewards. He also has a curation contest where you can nominate a post you like for a FREE 'bellyrub'. How cool is that?

I do use others, I've probably gone down the list several times and tried them all out multiple times respectively to get a gist of their capabilities. I've used different amounts and timings and those 4 (5) up there tend to give me the best overall return when combined. I do have a short list of ones I use (sometimes) but have come to the conclusion that lately, they kind of suck.

@randowhale

This fat son of a beached whale seems to be sleeping every time I want to buy a few votes which to me, makes it not very reliable. That also excludes it from my go to list of badass bots. When I first came to Steemit, he was the top-dog. Now, he's like a lost puppy looking for his food dish that got left behind when the family that was taking care of him moved and put him in the pound.

@minnowbooster

Now don't get me wrong, this is a beast of a vote you can buy BUT - that's *if* you can buy one. For about the past week or so, buying votes from this bot has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've encountered here on Steemit when it comes to a bot. For a long time, it was my favorite! Was totally reliable and almost instant. Recently however, there is something wrong with it. The pricing is all jacked up. The amount you sent 4 hours ago might not be what works now. You never know really what is and isn't going to work, even if you go to their website and look at recent votes bought. I still try to use it, but if after two or three attempts of my money being returned, I just say the heck with it and roll out.

Follow the @killerwhale curation trail!

woosh

Good list I have not used many bots yet. But may have to start. pew pew 🔫

yeah I pretty much use bellyrub and buildawhale exclusively right now. I plan on branching out to sneakyninja when I can and eventually treeplanter.

I've pretty much had the same luck with minnowbooster and think I'm just going to use him exclusively for loans right now as I've pretty much had the same experience as you have.

Treeplanter is very minimal ;)

When I'm a Steemit millionaire minimal won't matter to me ;)

Hear hear brotha!

Thanks for putting together this sweet list. How much do you usually invest in SBD between all the services?

On this post, I put out 3.6 SBD and have gotten back close to 6 from the bots in upvotes so a little over 40% total on the return side.

Great post I very seldom use Bots, I did Sneaky Ninja a few times, and that was my main one

I do like the idea of Treeplanter and will have to check it out more to support the cause than anything

It's not a heavy hit, but great thing the funds are used for. If I was a big whale, I'd delegate a ton to it.

yes I like it for the cause not the hit, I will be sending .5 to it regularly I know it is a loosing bit for me but a good cause

Good on ya man.

😎👍😎

Great post and my nr 1 is also sneaky-ninja always has been 😉 just love that guy and the story is priceless.
Treeplanter is a good one and I use it sometimes and it's a great cause.
Sneaky-ninja and bellyrub are my favorite barely use any other. But lovejuice was one I used a lot before.
Thank you for sharing, great information about the different once. I don't know much about these other once. I guess I don't use bots to often.. Lol

Anytime sweets! Ya ninjas are just wikkid cool :P

Yes wikkid cool 😁 like that.
Remember I was there once brainstorming with you and Michael about the ninja back story.. Lol that was cool and fun, you two cracked me up! And the results were awesome.

Yes you were! Fun huh?!?

Really fun 😁 and many cool ideas and crazy comments. I was just.... This is hilarious..

I like trees, I'll have to pay more attention to treeplanter, thx for the list man

It's not a full list of bots, just the ones I use most often. Treeplanter rocks 😎

Great post! I haven't heard of some of these, especially treeplanter-- Im going to look into it!!

Pretty minimal one, I think the low is .1 and the most you can send it is .25 so it won't break you by any means.

nice, @enginewitty. thanks for the shoutout ;)

Anytime dear :)
