My Application to Join the Alliance:

Hi everyone and hello from Australia!

I recently heard about a certain group here on Steemit called thealliance and it really caught my attention.
A few days ago I came across a post that @saffisara resteemed on her blog. That post was written by @topkpop: “How I found part of my family on Steemit - The Alliance - and how to join”.
I started reading it and I just loved her enthusiasm and love for that group. Not only that, but I related to many things that she wrote about herself when she started out here. It got me very interested and of course after briefly contacting @topkpop on the "Alpha-Syndicate" discord channel- I knew that this was something that I want to be a part of.

Why would I want to be a part The Alliance?

At first, when I joined Steemit I said to myself that I want to do this on my own and do this the “straight way”- if people like my posts – that’ll be enough and that’s how I’ll end up making my way up. However, as I started entering contests and started conversations and connections here with people, I understood that there was a lot more from this platform to gain especially once you have the support from one another. It also makes this much more fun! Not to mention the friends and people that you get to know from all around the world! It’s really exciting 😊 In the end- this is also how you make it here on Steemit.

I was never a fan of Facebook or any other social media of some sort. Needless to say, I myself have never been a blogger or never thought I would be one! I heard a lot about Steemit and it took me a while to sign up but once I did I slowly began to open up and even start writing about myself. Some people might think/say “that’s not such a big deal”, but for me it is. Its putting yourself out there and being YOU. Writing about things you’re passionate about, connecting with people, helping others and being part of a community. That’s what makes this work.
In @copkpops post she wrote about getting support, pushing herself, getting out of her comfort zone and doing things she never thought she would do here. That alone is inspiring. As I told @copkpop- My next personal challenge here would be making videos -as a few suggested that I make but.... wow, that’s really going to be a big step for me to do ! 😆 Hopefully soon enough :) Other than that, just being out there and having so many opportunities to make a change that is something that would be great to do- especially in a group while supporting each other.

Even though I know what I love to post about and I’m very passionate about it, I sometimes feel as if I’m still trying to find myself here. I have a good vibe about this group and would definitely like to take that chance and join to make a difference – in myself and others here.
We can all succeed and gain here by being a community and helping one another.
I joined Steemit a few months ago and was gone for a while but have recently returned and I believe that from getting the support from a community you belong to makes you feel even more a part of something and opens much more opportunities on this platform.

I still consider myself as a newbie on Steemit and still have alot to learn but I love writing, interacting with people and helping on Steemit in any way I can. I also love posting and sharing my favourite recipes 😊 However, I would like to do more than that, push myself to the limits, inspire and meet new people and become part of something bigger. So this is where being part of a group comes in for me!
