Behind Our Keyboards (Inconvenient Truth)
Nobody knows what all is transpiring in each others lives behind the facade of "I'm doing Great!"
We are paid to some degree by incentivized kindness and personas we create to brand ourselves. I have read tragic posts that have made me weep. I have read posts that have made me smile, laugh and renew my faith in humanity during some rather difficult circumstances. Choosing to operate with a moral compass isn't the easiest path nor is it by any stretch of the imagination a perfect journey. I am done apologizing to some who do not deserve it. I will continue to be humbled and able to forgive and say I am sorry when I have done wrong. Nobody is perfect and nobody deserves to be branded for life for faltering at times in this human experience we all are collectively sharing.
Love or Hate me or my blog and it won't stop me from doing what it is that keeps me focused, disciplined and moving forward in my life. Wishing you all a wonderful and inspired weekend... If and when you find happiness, take it from me that you treasure it and protect it. Some things in life are worth fighting for and it's up to us to exercise discernment of which wars to wage and which wars to walk away from.

Great expression. No one can make you happy except yourself, no one can make you unhappy except you yourself. No matter what someone did to you if you do attract to it it will not have effect on you.

That said, I wanted to tell you that I appreciate your words, and the sentiments you express here really resonate with me. Multiple events (professionally and socially) from this past week have my head reeling, and I have had to repeatedly find a calm place within myself from which to respond, remain collected, allow others to have their say even when it feels at times like an attack on me or my stance on things, and so on. Doing so (remaining centered in the fray) has helped me to communicate without later regretting my own words. Am I over-sharing here? 😊
A take-away from your post is about being able to apologize and forgive. Those two things go hand in hand. If we are ever to move beyond this difficult and divisive time in history, we must try to remain calm and centered, and listen. But when things blow up anyway, as they will (for we are human and we hurt and cause hurt), then we must find it in ourselves to apologize and forgive.

You know in the last couple of months I wake up and say a quiet prayer. And it's audible but just barely. And I do it with no one around. I say to myself that today is a new day and I choose to be "joyful"
That's it in a nutshell. I just say to myself regardless of what the World around me is doing and all the shit in it that I make the conscious and deliberate choice of choosing to be "joyful".
It really does help. Whether it be God or some Force or maybe just a self fulfilling prophecy or whatever..well the fact is it really works for me and puts me in the right frame of mind.

thank you and agreed.... I pray A LOT, I even pray for those who have caused me great suffering and it's for me , not them, there is some type of benevolent force in this Universe, there is so much evil that there has to be so much good and that's where freewill comes in imho
