In my view the retention aspect need to be covered with the opportunity for personal expression and creative challenges as the Diary Game and others by the @SteemitBlog that inspire creativity, research or some introspection. Different difficulties, from the photography of the day to create a tutorial could be attractive for wide range of users developing and showing their skills, this could be helpful for people working on the retention of recruited users.
