The largest Latin American investment bank will use blockchain Tezos for STO

Latin America's largest investment bank BTG Pactual and Dubai-based asset manager Dalma Capital will use blockchain Tezos for security-token (STO) placements, including the upcoming STO REITBZ. This is stated in a press release on the website of the Tezos Foundation.

It is expected that Tezos blockchain will be used for deals exceeding $1 bln in the course of current and future token offerings. In the future, the project participants intend to engage Tezos to tokenize a number of traditional and alternative investments, including debt and equity instruments.

"The use of Tezos blockchain and the smart contract platform will contribute to BTG Pactual and Dalma Capital's initiatives in the field of digitalization," the publication says.

"Although the bank does not associate itself with a particular protocol and technology and intends to continue using the Ethereum protocol, we see Tezos as a global player with a reliable blockchain for asset tokenization," said BTG Pactual's partner André Portillo, responsible for STO.

Dalma Capital plans to use Tezos in the future within the framework of many projects on tokenization, starting from real estate and ending with sports clubs. "We believe that Tezos is one of the most critical protocols in the emerging STO market and we look forward to conducting transactions with its blockchain in the future," said Dalma Capital CEO Zachary Cefaratti.
