Tether Showing Weakness Once Again
After pulling back to just above par against Binance's USD stablecoin TrueUSD (TUSD), Tether is again showing weakness this evening against TUSD as well as Bitcoin proving its "peg" is not stable.
After pulling back to near 1.00-1.00, it spiked up to 1.05 and has since pulled back to 1.028. This is a 5% loss of value in the past few hours. I've written about the risks Tether poses to the crypto space several times the past few months. I don't really see any news justifying this swing. The market is almost always smarter than any one individual. Does the "market" know something we don't yet? Only time will tell.
