Upcoming 'Advanced Summon' Feature To Make Tesla Cars Like Remote Control Cars

Tesla cars have always been pleasantly 'different' than most other cars out there. They differ not only in the fundamental way that they work (they are electric), but they also have these 'cool' features and easter eggs that make them a class apart.

Some of these features are really high-tech and it goes to show how much effort the company puts in designing their cars. This also is a testament of Elon Musk's visionary leadership, who is considered as the real life Iron Man.

People have not only been highly impressed by Tesla cars' insanely great performance and power but also smart features that make life just that much easier. One such feature is the 'summon' feature.

First launched in 2016 as a part of an over-the-air update, the current iteration of Summon allows Tesla cars to enter or exit parking spots without the driver having to be inside the car, exactly as the name of the feature suggests. It is this feature that is getting an update in the near future.

Upgrading To A Remote Control Car

Do you want your car to follow you like a pet? According to Musk, that's exactly what Tesla cars will be able to do now when the upgraded summon feature arrives in about 6 weeks, as predicted by him.

The advanced summon feature will be available for the Tesla cars made within the last two years (having the Autopilot hardware V2+), and will also allow users to give directions to it from their phones, making them like big remote controlled cars.

This might not seem like much of a big deal to most, but it's things like these that sets a product or a company apart from the others which is so evident from the customers of Tesla cars who love them so much.

The summon feature that is getting an upgrade will get even more advanced next year allowing users to summon their cars from even across the country. So, you could literally summon your car and it will find its way to you even across thousands of kilometres.

Also, next year, the summon feature will allow Tesla cars to drive around a parking lot, find a spot, scan any signs to make sure the car can be parked there, and finally park it, all without a driver in the car. Futuristic, isn't it? Here's hoping that all these features arrive in their predicted time (something which Musk isn't great at).

idk man that's pretty freaky if you every played watch dogs... 0_0 AI is defiently in interesting topic.

Yeah, the possibility of getting hacked is always there and it is something these companies must focus on if they want to continue to develop this.

Completely agree with you on that.

Don't know if this is going to be a good or bad thing...

That remains to be seen lol
