Undone /#Tellastorytome

Dr Agnes was looking at her sample, amazed. she finally got the cure. It's been a week and the lab rats(humans) had been stable. She has been testing the blood for (oh God she lost count already) and there were no traces of virus. Her eyes gleamed and she felt elated to see her success.

But, not so fast.She still wanted to watch the sample for the whole month. Moreover, this virus is a tricky one. She felt she had the cure just two months ago. After announcing her breakthrough to her sponsors and praises were showered on her, she went home that night too, feeling fulfilled.
Until the next morning when she woke up to sound of phones blaring. It was the lab.She rushed back in at 3:00am.Her lab rats were dying. It was gruesome and horrendous. The sight was horrific. Blood splattered round the glasses in which they were kept. She got there before the last one died. His eyes wide opened. Blood gushing out of them. His toes were ripped off and he was sweating out blood , bathed in his own blood. That night, as she watched him die. They all died. They were all volunteers and they trusted her with their lives. That morning, She knew she had created a monster of a virus and she needed to get a cure.

So, she had been working, working tirelessly, trying to locate what went wrong with the first cure.

And now she had it. That cure. Her sponsors already found out about the progress, one of are assistant must have snitched. They are coming in tomorrow to take a strain of the virus and the cure... To replicate both.

Although, she had the cure but something was amiss in her soul, she couldn't forget the death she witnessed. She was cared of being wrong again. But, it's been two weeks and everything seemed fine.

So that night she went home, thinking about what will happen in the world in a week. The pharmaceutical company will release the virus in a town and they will also be the one to provide the cure.

It was an easy business like they told her; to come to the government aid in their time of need. When all hope is lost, the pharmaceutical company will be the hero. The hero that saved the world from an Apocalypse and her name will be mentioned as the lead scientist that produced cure. No one had to die. Business, they told her.

A week after the strains were taken, news
were being reported about an unknown virus, they don't have a name for it yet, but some states are already being quarantined to curb this.She smiled."That's her baby," she thought.

She saw the sick people on TV, the stages of the virus and symptoms. Their plans were in motion.
Until the fourth day, when she heard about the deaths. And the virus was spreading like wild fires. She was confused, death comes after 14days but here people were already dying.
Something was wrong and she had no clue what it was. This wasn't just her virus anymore

This was something bigger than her virus and the world was about to witness a calamity!
