GoChain is a scalable, high performance, low cost, and decentralized cryptocurrency and blockchain that supports smart contracts and DApps.

Improvements in GoChain

If we look at how much improvement we are talking about. GoChain mission is to provide a faster, low cost,low energy efficient platform for cryptos and decentralized applications.

• 100x Faster : GoChain can support very fast transaction. Since ethereum can only process 13 transactions per second, GoChain will process it's transaction 100x faster. It can perform much faster due to the removal of the wrangling algorithm required for PoW and having a few nodes instead of the hundreds of thousands earlier blockchains use.
  GoChain is also going to use Off-Chain Cloud Storage for data not currently needed to optimize the storage space required to run a node.

• 1000x Less energy: The energy used to run the Blockchain network has already consumed a lot of the world’s energy and that energy could power more than 3.5 million US households. We know that's unsustainable, But GoChain will use a small fraction of the energy used to run other cryptocurrencies.

• Fully compatible with existing Ethereum wallets and smart contracts.

Proof of Reputation

The Proof of Reputation (PoR) consensus is a model that depends on the reputation of the participants to keep the network secure. The node runners(block signers) will have significant reputation important enough that they would face grave consequences (financial and PR) if they were to be found out cheating the system.
