My Arduino fun projects: Designing Quardcopter/Drone from scratch (No cheatboards)- teaser video
This is a follow up on my post "The feeling you get when you go to work and get paid for working on your hobby…PRICELESS"
Been busy designing a Quardcopter/Drone with my student engineers from scratch. We decided not to use any cheat boards or any pre-designed assembly kits on the market. It is not that easy...been a good learning experience thou.

We using an Arduino Mega and Alt IMU-10 V4 Gyro, Accelerometer, Compass and Altimeter for now.
We constructed a wooden platform for a safety test as we couldn't predict how the first flight will react to our PID control settings (didn't want to chop off our heads).
PID control basics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PID_controller
I will update the post with a full code and schematics once the quardcopter is completed.

wow...now he can do the spying!!! lol
@christoph3 i want to try out Drone-fishing...check out a post I resteemed
Nice drone, man.
Thanks 😇 ...can't wait to finally fly it...
Motors look pretty big. They appear to be low Kv but high torque? I assume this because of how flat they are.
What's the rating on those?
@dgiors i will update will all the specs, code and circuits soon.

Cool, I always wanted to do this, is this project expensive?
Hi @yournews yes...the motors are expensive but depends on the weight of your drone. Unless you buy a kit then it Will be cheaper
