Bill Gates hates the combination of Ctrl + Alt + Delete
Bill Gates admitted his biggest mistake: CTRL + ALT + DELETE magnate was consulted on the particular combination, and after explaining his origin, he confessed that he also hates it.
No one who has grown up between computers could deny being familiar with the "magic" CTRL + ALT + DELETE sequence. Almost miraculously, those three keys have surely gotten us out of some trouble by forcing computers to stop a process of ending their agony.
It is striking that to appeal to the powerful combination the user must use both hands, three fingers and combine a position not quite easy. So, where did that particular sequence come from?
According to an article published by the newspaper "El País", the doubt has unexpectedly overturned a debate organized by Bloomberg at Harvard University with stars of the business world, including Bill Gates himself.
The billionaire philanthropist, now on the Gates foundation, was surprised by the question posed by the moderator of the debate, the tycoon also David Rubenstein.
"Bill, I'm going to ask you a question that should have been asked a long time ago," he began. "Why did you choose the CTRL-ALT-SUPR sequence?" He asked, alluding to the strange position of his hands.
Between laughs of gifts and surprise of Gates, who kept the silence while he squinted upward and settled - somewhat uncomfortable - in his seat, the tycoon explained the origin of the combination of stranger.
According to him, it only exists because of IBM, which manufactured the computers, keyboards and mice of most windows and refused to include a single button for the reset function, and why he had to resort to this keyboard concatenation "The guy who made the designs for IBM keyboards does not want a single button," Gates said.
After a few seconds, he clarified: "The people involved in that task have let another key escape for that function."
"Do you regret this choice?" Rubenstein insisted.
"Of course, if I could change it, I chose a single key.

Why will he hate it, is it because it is a command for ending windows operation process, because it delete system process threads.Do you know it is a good command as it maximize system resource like the RAM and waitiing time is limited and reduced.The task is faster and system and resources availability is needed too.Microsoft for creating and enabling such commands on their windows platform know it full uses and function.I love this combination though CTRL+ALT+DEL @originalworks

I think he says he regrets it because it gives regular people POWER.
I prefer CTRL + ALT + ESC myself now. Check it out, no menu screen, straight to process! :-)

he didn't choose it because he didn't develop the tech, he stole it in a shady deal when he was hired to market the company that created the tech. He is a smart business man, but he isn't as tech savvy as people thinks he is.

CTRL + ALT + DELETE is the sine qua non of the industry. Without it, all there is is the possible hope that hitting the Windows power button might do something.

That IBM tech guy was probably smart knowing that you might by mistake press a singular button, thus preferring not to put a singular button for a soft/hard reset on a keyboard, forcing people to (mostly) use both hands after actively have made the decision to force their PC to reset. So no mr Gates, that IBM tech guy was a smart guy and will remain a smart guy for the rest of time. Best regards Dr DMD
