What is VOCs?

VOC for volatile organic compounds. Chemicals that have a high vapor pressure at ordinary room temperature is called
vocs. It emitted easily from solids or liquids products to air as gas when they are stored. Most scents or odors are of VOCs.

How they Occurs?

They include both human made and naturally occurring chemical compounds. Different kind of household products release VOCs from paint thinner, fuel container, aerosol, pest products, nail polish, nail polish remover, adhesive, deodorizers etc.

Guys saying an example building materials and furnishings such as new carpets, furniture or paints slowly release VOCs over time. In our home we need proper ventilation for new carpeting, furniture and wall paint as after a longer time periods VOC levels can build up again after the windows are closed.

What are the health and environmental effects?

Any chemicals can enter the body through three major pathways like breathing, touching and swallowing this is called to exposure .Without exposure no harm can effect. Shot term exposure to high levels have adverse effects like....
