Wireless Power - Tesla's Dream Come True!steemCreated with Sketch.

in #technology7 years ago (edited)

Wireless power can feed all electrical devices through the air, but existing wireless charging requires near-contact distance with the electronic device, such as smart phones. But powering up a phone might become as easy as connecting to a WiFi hotspot.

Quasistatic cavity resonance (QSCR) is a new wireless power transmission technology that generates quasistatic magnetic fields to safely deliver power to mobile receivers within the range of the field. This was developed by Disney Research (not the other Disney).

Chabalko MJ, Shahmohammadi M, Sample AP (2017) Quasistatic Cavity Resonance for Ubiquitous Wireless Power Transfer

A 16x16 room was designed for this experiment, which can deliver power to receivers with 40% to 95% efficiency. This can send 1.9 kW of power under federal safety guidelines, which is equivalent to charging 320 smart phones. All of the devices in the above picture where being wirelessly powered!

This works by inducing electrical currents and to the walls, floor and ceiling that all have an aluminum frame within them. A copper pole is placed in the center. This generates a uniform magnetic field that encompasses the whole room.

Receiving coils receive the transmitted energy by operating at the same resonance frequency of the magnetic field. Discrete capacitors are placed inside the copper pole and used to isolate harmful electric fields. These capacitors control the electromagnetic frequency and confine the fields.

Imagine current and new possible applications for electronics and robotics where you don't need batteries, with both the data and power transmission being done wirelessly. Right now this doesn't seem feasible since this is a specially constructed room, but the researchers say it's likely possible to reduce the need for metallized walls, ceilings and floors in future developments. Conductive paint might even be an option.

The low megahertz frequency don't interact with everyday materials so other objects and people shouldn't be affected, just like WiFi. Objects don't suffer from eddy current heating simply by being around the field.

I know that some people are affected by electromagnetic frequencies more than others, for some reason they have a sensitivity. I wonder if this wireless energy will have similar consequences for some people. Wireless transmission of energy for data communication something recent in human use, and I wonder about the long-term effects this has on the human organism by having all of these energy waves affecting us.

Generating quasistatic magnetic fields to safely deliver power makes me wonder how healthy it is on the long-run, though it SHOULD be fine, I guess it may not be very difficult to find out the reality of it...

Tesla might be rather proud of seeing such device becoming available on the market!?!

Thanks a bunch for sharing the precious pictures demonstrating the building of the discrete capacitors. This is awesome!!! All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

Yeah, all the EMF we have around us... we don't really know if its slowly changing us, slowly harming us, etc. I liked wired technology, like a wired router to my computer. I don't like WiFi. Still weary of possible harm to humanity. Energy passing through us is not understood enough IMO. Thanks for the feedback.

There actually was a consortium of scientist out in Scandinavia that have presented their findings last year in relation to this... All frequencies influence us and, for the moment, it is mostly a matter of which ones are in synch with our frequencies and to what extent they are promoting or hindering health of our cells and thinking.

Their findings are seriously underexposed! I'm glad to read that you are concerned, maybe you'll be the one writing about this on our platform?

All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

Got a link to that study? :P

I worry can have a negative effect on humans. Excessive UV-B radiation can cause skin cancer, eye cataracts and reduce the body's resistance to infectious diseases.

In addition, the increase in short-wave radiation UV-B can also trigger a chemical reaction in the lower atmosphere, which resulted in increasing the number of photochemical reactions that produce toxic fumes, acid rain and increase in respiratory disorders.

Much like voting on steemit, the effect of EMF on human beings is weighted quadratically. Its governed by the inverse square law. Most of these new wireless energy sources are going to be far enough away from you so that theyre actually having less of an effect than your router.

An old-fashioned telephone or a CD radio blows them all out of the water though

Thank you for that information.

Great article. I may have to reference this in a future YouTube video.

This is possible because the "empty vacuum" of space does not exist. It is a medium called the "Ether" as hypothesized by Nikola Tesla and now confirmed via the Electric Universe Theory.

Nikola Tesla Coil Test transmitting energy via the Ether:

How this relates to everything else we are being programmed to accept in our world:

Thanks for the feedback. I "believe" there is a valid case for the "Ether/aether", despite the mainstream denial. I have not looked into for many years. The mainstream of Einstein theories replaced many older theories that may yet come back as more valid.

I love the read. How do youngins say, THAT'S DOPE!!!
I can't help but wonder what happens when wireless transfer of electricity comes into contact with water vapor.

Yeah, I'm not sure how safe it is despite meeting safety requirements... :P

WARNING

This is not safe.
Our bodies need the magnetic field of the earth to exist.
When people live near strong man made magnetic fields, such a near a power sub-station, there is a marked increase in cancer and other body breakdown diseases.

DNA is a magnetic antenna.
When you expose yourself to various magnetic fields, they can be helpful or harmful. I know people who have built a similar enclosure and have gotten healing results with short term exposure. But, if the frequency is wrong, it has negative results.

also
This is not what Tesla designed and built.

also also
Dizney is evil. Dizney has copyrighted everything, so if this company exists, they are part of Dizney.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree, overall the magnetic fields are not fully known how they affect us. I have been into Nick Begich and other research in the past, but the mainstream doesn't want to take EMF sensitivity seriously.

Just one small add on: Tesla’s dream was FREE Wireless Power. And he could do it :)

It's destructive enough to have GSM, IEEE 802 and others, Thank you, i don't want any others.

Search: quasistatic cavity resonance health
Not many results contain health.

These far-field wireless power techniques [11, 12] have not found wide spread use, since they are limited to delivering
only a few milliwatts of power due to health and safety concerns

And below that they say their new method is different, no? Their method is within safety standards, while the previous far-field methods were not?
