It's a great shame we couldn't spend more on space exploration and less on weapons of mass destruction. The US alone spends 600 billion for a military budget which is 51 percent of the budget and NASA gets less than 1 percent of it, that's 18 billion. We will not debate if the US needs such a military budget since they are the most powerful army out there, and I would say NO they do not. I know some people are not onboard with NASA, and I'm also not a big fan since some things seem "weird". Loving the space is something else.

What if NASA had the Military's Budget?

The general publics interest in space exploration kinda died since the "Space Race". Was not around to witness it, but I heard stories and read about it. Most definitely I would like to see some space with my own eyes before they put me into dust, lolz. Pretty sure I'm not alone on that one. Some NASA scientist is probably in talks...

NASA: Sir, we want to build a Mars Rover, but it cost 1.5 billion $, that includes the launch

Govt: What, no way, that is too expensive, get that cost down or leave my office.

NASA: Okay Sir, ty for your time.

Dept of Defense (DoD): Sir, we need our new spy satellite to watch our neighboring countries, that would cost 2 billion $ each and we need 10 of them, and we also need an overpriced rocket launcher that costs about half a billion each.

Govt: Sure, why not. Anything else?

DoD: Yeah, we need new rockets as our old one uses Russian engines.

Govt: Why not use Elon's rockets?

DoD: No way Sir, they are too cheap...

Govt: Money is not an issue, buy...

DoD: Sweet Sir, let's "change" the world!

Getting humans to land on Mars is the biggest space project this generation will ever see. That is also just my opinion. But these quick facts will show you that all the things regarding space could make a huge step in the positive direction if we only used more of "our" funds on it!

• The whole Apollo program cost was around 135 Billion $
  In a period of 13 years or so. Just a little over 10B a year.

• The International Space Station cost around a 100 Billion$
  10 years of work, think of some stations with 6 times that $.

With a massive budget, they could cut the long-term plans of 10years, to only a year or two. Some things from today would probably look something like a happy-meal toy. With all the resources we would get BIG discoveries more frequently, both on earth and in cosmos...

But what do I know, right? 😋😋😋
