Technology is the transformation of scientific knowledge into a practical reality for the benefit of mankind. Technology has been of great importance in our lives today. Various technologies are used in our day to day activities. Therefore the use of technology has become an important part of our life.
Technology has provided us with an easy access to information, improved health facilities, improved traveling convenience, improved education and also has its effects on our communication and lifestyle.
Technology is of great essence in the world of today yet with its own flaws.

Technological Effect On Our Social Interaction:Technology has taken a toll on our day to day interaction with others. Lots of people now take more pleasure with the use of gadgets and social media relationship than personal human interaction. These new found love of social media has affected our social activity.
Increased Technological Unemployment:With the automation of several jobs, the increased use of technology as adversely affected the need for man power thus resulting in unemployment.
Technological Effect On Our Productivity:The advent of technology has brought about a decline in the creativity of people. With people spending an enormous amount of time on the use of social media and the over dependency of modern tools has affected our intelligence and creativity, therefore, rendering us less creative.
Technology And It Effect On Our Health: It is believed that the increased use of technology has affected our health drastically with most of our electronic devices emitting radio-frequency which are considered to cause cancer as a result of the accumulation of these frequencies in the body.

Personally, I think is a blessing that has made everything easy for mankind. The benefits of technology outweigh its demerits and I can't really imagine the world without the use of technology.

Yh that's the point. We let technology take charge of every of our activities which should not be so. Technology is a product of our imagination and thinking then why must it dictate our interaction with others?
I totally agree. I think the problem is that technology is so hyped up right now that people believe whatever they tell them. There are many interest to be able to control us more and more as time passed with bogus excuses like 'terror' and that the only way to solve it is to have us controlled %100. And this is a LIE. I work in the tech industry and there are things I do not agree with. But people need to understand they have to question more everything and not assume that just because it is technology it is going to be good. For example, Elon Musk has advised on the dangers of AI and some people dismiss this as "paranoid" or "not true" but the reality is that we are at a turning point in history and we have to be careful. The goal of AI is to become self aware in the name of security and this means later everything will want to be automatic and that we ddo not do anything, not even move a finger. We were not made to NOT move a finger and stay in a couch all day, no way. We are active human beings that need to move , take actions and LIVE. We cannot live in a world were EVERYTHING is automatic, that's ridiculous. We need to question and study more everything. But now days we are lead to believe that everything that is shown to us on TV is the truth and thats actually NOT the case.

The issue of automation and bots is a common problem in our present world, with lots of discoveries currently surfacing in the form of AI. I'm scared very soon bot will take over every of our job thus limiting human interaction. Hopefully humans interactive strength will win the war against this advancing technology.

The merits of technology far outweigh the demerits. Whatsoever that has advantages must equally have disadvantages. I remember when I was growing up in the village(countryside),we used to brush our teeth with charcoal and salt( because we hadn't heard about toothpaste), trek for miles to and fro school and to post letters to my uncle in Abakiliki at the nearest post office(about 8 miles away), cook with firewood because there was no other means, even common malaria was killing people, entertained ourselves with tales by moonlight because there was no electricity. I could go on and on. Now I can't imagine me living life without the home gadgets e.t.c that is now at our disposal. Hell no! I won't even be caught dead using grinding stone to grind beans and corn(the most chores I hated back then). So technology has made life easier for us but we can also be responsible when it comes to its use. Thank you.
