Right. Most people don't realize that the electricity to charge has to come from somewhere.
Yeah look at the plan's tesla got e.g solar city (they want to fully support super chargers with solar energy)... furthermore they want to build the hyper loop route with solar on it. So the future will bring clean energy for electric cars, they "only" have to solve the lithium problem with the Power cells. However, the combustion engine is almost fully developed and the electric motor is just in the beginning!
