Mobile Gas Solutions: Refueling Your Car While You Work

Would you be interested in having someone come and refuel your car for you while you are at work?

There are a number of companies today that are now trying to provide this sort of mobile gas solution.

Some of them are providing more than just a refueling too, offering tire cleaning and window cleaning, you might never need to visit a gas station again.

One company in this space, Booster Fuels, has been at it for several years now and they're working hard to keep prices low, it's reported that the average cost per gallon is usually cheaper than what you might pay at the gas station. They also offer regular or premium unleaded.

A growing number of corporations, such as Facebook, PayPal, Cisco, and eBay, have been ordering the truck so that it can offer the service to their employees, driving around the parking lot and refueling who might be interested.

Booster Fuels has already pumped over 3 million gallons of gas.

“Booster helps reduce the stress and time of that commute. As a perk for large companies to offer employees, Booster helps employers attract and retain talent in the very competitive environment down here.” - Booster Fuels CEO F. Mycroft via GeekWire.

Customers who are interested in getting a refueling can use a smartphone app to order the gas at a certain time, the truck will then show up while they are working. The average customer who uses Booster Fuels reportedly refills with them at least once every nine days.

It's estimated that Booster Fuels is generating roughly $180,000 daily; they've delivered fuel over 1 million times.

The trucks that drive around and offer the mobile fuel service are able to carry at least 800 gallons of regular unleaded and 400 gallons of premium. They can fuel your entire vehicle in less than 5 mins.

Other competitors in this space are those such as Yoshi and Filld. And you can now find mobile gas solutions in areas like Seattle, Portland, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, and Boston.

For those who are using the mobile gas service, it's estimated to be reducing their monthly travel time by at least 1 hour because they are able to skip the refueling errand themselves.

They are also getting easy access to gas at competitive prices, it also helps to reduce their stress or anxiety over having a low gas tank, and reduces vehicle wear by eliminating trips for the customer. Anyone who might find going to the gas station to be an inconvenient experience, could see this as potentially the perfect solution to fit their needs.

@doitvoluntarily this is an example of what a service would be, many companies should imitate this action.

It is an interesting idea for fuel delivery. Makes sense if there is enough demand.
