1.4 Billion plain text passwords leaked on Dark Web - Safety Precaution
Hackers regularly dump user profiles and credentials on Dark Web and P2P services. This recent case was more alarming because all the credentials were in plain text and from renowned websites like Bitcoin, Pastebin, LinkedIn, MySpace, Netflix and many more.
What can you do to prevent yourself from password theft ?
- If you have been regular user of these website then do consider changing your password ASAP
- You can check on have i been pwned? by entering your username to see if there is possibility of previous leak and weather your account was among them or not
If any of above mentioned alert triggers then definitely consider changing your passwords and pin codes.

That is actually very hard to do, one can POWER UP and then even if you are compromised, you have a week to stop losses... Using your prior codes to "recoer" your account. Now if one keep large amounts in steem and SBD then that will be gone, but you can keep both in "savings" and there is a 3 day withdrawal period.
