See this for why you're not safe behind tor nodes:

Tor was founded by the DOD (Department of War) and receives it's founding largely from the DOD still, the only reason Tor has been release to the public is to secure it by making the traffic now 100% Gov.
There's alternatives

Thanks for protecting me @baah :) I'm mostly on there for reading purposes only, as the amount of documentation on there is staggering - particularly government documents! No ounce of coke at 1.28 BTC or hacked porn accounts for this @mindhunter ;)

Privacy is a must, the whole snowden debacle was in my belief only a successfully orchestrated false flag seeking to compromise the lavabit service, it provided encrypted email and if I rememeber correctly there wasn't even a way to recover passwords, which supposedly snowden was using. Since then I have pretty much stopped my keyboard warrior on facebook and would have gave up on sharing information about the numerous events that TPTB constantly scrub in efforts of sweeping their deeds under the rug, until I happened across here :D.
Seems there's new developments with lavabit!

Lavabit look exciting, but the one used by most hardcore criminals on the darknet is: https://antidetect.org

In this article they offer much more viable alternatives:http://www.esecurityplanet.com/open-source-security/the-trouble-with-tor.html , never stop learning, never stop reading because without that we rely on borrowed, 2nd hand conclusions. Keep up the good work as always!

The seizure of Silk Road and all their Bitcoins really made me lose faith in Tor!
