We always like to have the best and best Gadgets of that Time period to hang with, but it's not always that easy to have it all. Most new gadgets and Smartphones are pretty Expensive, that being said there are also Mid-tier Smartphones which are pretty Cheap.

There are a few things that need to be considered before buying any Smartphone. Let's Point out those Things

1. Budget

Believe it or not the budget is the most important thing you need to consider before deep Diving into Smartphone Hunting. You need to ask yourself what you are comfortable with Spending, is it Less than 500 USD or more than 500 USD or is it over 1000 USD. I just laid down three classes of Smartphones based on Prices like Lower, Mid-range and Higher section. Once you make your Decision you need to stick with it no matter how Tempting the Other section of Smartphones looks.

2. Form Factor

Now you might be thinking what does form factor has got to do with your choice of Smartphone. Actually, it helps a lot to sort out other Smartphones from the one you want. Most Smartphones these days comes with almost a 6 inch Screen with variable Aspect ratios. So you should think about which Form Factor you are happy with within your Budget.

3. Display

Display has been one of the key factors these Days with most Companies implementing newer Displays like the Amoled Panels, 1080p Display or 4k Display. Displays are a Huge Deal Breaker so you should take this into account.

4. Camera

Cameras are one of the Biggest selling points of Smartphone these Days, but nowadays Megapixels doesn't really matter all of the work is basically done by the Software inside the phone itself. So you might want to look at various reviews of Cameras before making a decision simply on its written Specs.

5. Battery

Battery backup has been quite important these Days, everyone wants a Battery that lasts them the entire Day but with Higher specs comes low Battery Life it is kind of Inversely Proportional. Another thing to keep in mind is the charging Mechanism. Nowadays there are various Quick charging Mechanisms available like the Quick charge and DASH charging which charges your Smartphones from 0 - 50 in half an hour.

6. Storage

In this case, I have to say you need to have at least 64GB of internal storage for any Smartphone. Nowadays most Smartphones are omitting the Micro SD slot so you need better Internal Storage for all your Photos and Videos.

7. Chipset

Qualcomm_Snapdragon_logo.png

Now let's go down the Techie part. Most of the Non Technical persons wouldn't know what a good chipset is. You guys just could get confused by Octacore and think its a better Chipset, which is not always the case. You need to get some reviews from youtube videos about various Chipsets and if you are in the Market for a new Smartphone here are some Chipsets which are Top of the Line.

Snapdragon 845
Snapdragon 835
Kirin 970
Kirin 960
Exynos 8895

8. RAM

Samsung-6GB-RAM.png

Now RAM has been an important thing to look at but nowadays most Smartphones comes with a hefty bit of RAM. More RAM equals easier Multitasking so it's always better to have it in Surplus. In case you want to know 4-6 GB of RAM is sufficient for any Smartphone.

Hello! I write children's tales. If you are interested, you can see them on my page @mary.vee Thank you for your time.

Of course I will check out Your Profile.

For me, Battery.. Storage and Camera. thats why I immidiately fell in love with moto G 3T. 2 days battery back, you can imagine that? and sexy picture quality. But unfortunately size was too for my palm and it kept falling.

My previous Smartphone was a Moto X Play so I know how good these Series is and as for your Problem with the Phone Size it's better to use your New phone with safety untill you get the feel of it. Once you get the Feeling the phone will be like a part of You.

If you really think about it there is a huge amount of factors to be considered while buying a new smartphone. But still these are the basic things that must be considered.
The first thing you must get settled is budget. You have to decide exactly how much can you part for a new smartphone as every budget segment has a best smartphone by its value.
Then you should think about the the purpose of buying a smartphone. Do you want it for heavy gaming or for casual gaming + some productivity or for multimedia or just as daily driver aka phone.
Next thing is finding a suitable smartphone with adequate specifications to fulfill your purpose. Like if you wanna do heavy gaming, then you will need powerful cpu, latest gpu n good amount of RAM. Looks and battery life shouldn't matter. Or if you want it for multimedia like movies etc then phones with better playback time, nice speakers & bigger n high resolution screen will be preferred. And for daily drivers or casual gaming+productivity, a phone should have a longer battery runtime and look good.
Nowadays brand hardly matters. With limited budget you will never be able to buy the best smartphone if you are stuck with top n expensive brands.

So in my Post, I have mentioned almost all the Points you have mentioned in your Comment.

I have Discussed the Budget which is the most important Factor.

As per the Purpose of the Phone nowadays Mid-tier to flagship grade Smartphones are built in such a way that they are Gaming capable plus have high RAM. It is also said that if you are buying a Gaming Phone you are basically buying a Flagship. Take the Razer Phone for Example.

As per the GPU, it comes bundled with the Chipset so it doesn't matter what GPU you prefer it will be secondary to the CPU.

As for Display settings, anything around 400 PPI is good and I did not mention it because almost no one is going to notice the difference unless you have High sensitive Eyes.

Lastly you said ---

With a limited budget you will never be able to buy the best smartphone if you are stuck with top n expensive brands.

Yes, its kind of true when you will go towards the Mid Tier range you will have to make some compromises when it comes to certain aspects of the Smartphone you want to buy.

For example, my One Plus 5T is not Splash proof so I had to compromise on that factor especially bcoz my previous Phone was water resistant.

You have to compromise a Bit.
