TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENTS IN MOBILE PHONES (VOL 1) | SMART PHONES YOU NEVER THOUGHT EXISTED

The beauty of technology keeps improving. If you doubt this, check the gadgets made 50 years ago and compare them to the ones available now. You all will agree with me that those technological equipments were old and can't be used again. Let's take a look at the mobile phone.

The first mobile phone was invented in 1973, there was nothing like smart phones then. All a phone could do was receive and make calls. Well, text messages and other necessary things were included too, it was just like a gadget you would see as odd now.

The invention started with a gadget that looks like a telephone handle or a calculator, these phones has antennas on top, it can be used for searching signals. Then, the flip phones were invented, you can close and open them. The image below explains better. From the slim one that looked like a calculator with an antenna to the symbian phone, the advancement in technology were still amazing and big to us then.

As we advance, as the day goes by, technology also advances. Several modifications has been done to the gadget we used four years ago. You wouldn't want to imagine using the symbian phone on the image above again.

Now, there are smart phones and guess what? Technology has made them in a way you never imagined. The touch screen phone you always see as a big deal isn't a big deal after all. Here are top mobile phones that would blow your mind.

NEC MEDIAS W

The name sounds funny right? I'm still thinking of a shorter name to give it when I get my hands on it. NEC will be cool though, the company chose to inscribe Medias on it.

What you are seeing on this image isn't two phones, it's one phone. It has two screens, these screens can be bent to overlap each other, you can choose to use both at the same time or you can just use one of them.

You can even use one as a keyboard and the other as the screen. Perhaps, you've been in a situation where four people wants to watch a movie with you. The screens can be bent to face opposite directions, two people can be at one side of the screen and the other two at the other side.

NEC FLIP PHONE TRIPLE DISPLAY

If the two screen phone made you marvel, then this phone with three screens should make you worry. This isn't just a phone, this is simply amazing. Aside having three screens, there's a QWERTY keyboard somewhere too.

These screens can be combined together to do a single thing. Probably you want to watch a movie on a bigger screen, you can simply combine all three screens to watch it. You can operate three apps the same time on each screens. Since the screens can be bent or rotated in any form, it made it easy.

NOKIA 888

Nokia is a popular brand. We've probably seen most of their amazing products. But, I doubt if more people has seen this. Nokia 888 is a phone for the future. I actually thought it's a paper the first time I saw it.

The image you are seeing isn't a paper or any sort of thing you might be thinking, that's a mobile phone. What more surprises has technology got to offer? They keep making us wonder.

The phone can be wrapped and use as a wrist watch. It is very flexible, you can chose to bend it anyhow you want it to be. And there's something making it unique.

NINTENDO PLUS

This is actually for gamers, gone are those days when you need to get a PSP just because you don't enjoy playing games on your phone. You can now get a mobile phone that can serve as a PSP and also as a smart phone.

Nintendo Plus has the game buttons instead of the usual keyboard that comes with smart phones. The screen of this phone can be rotated or flipped at different directions.

You can close the game keyboard and choose to use your smart phone as a normal phone, but the aim was to bridge into the gaming sector.
