Is your son Circumcised?
It's a long vacation again for kids and this is the best time for my little son to get circumcise!
As a Christian it is biblically written in
Genesis 17:10-14
"This is covenant, which you shall keep between me and you and your descendants after you, every male shall be circumcised "And you shall be circumcised by flesh of your foreskin. And it shall be the sign of a covenant between Me and you. And every male among you who is eight days old shall be circumcised through out your generation.
A servant who is born in your house or who is bought with your money shall be circumcised, thus my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
"But uncircumcised male who is not circumcise by the flesh of his foreskin , that person shall be cut off from his people, he has broken my covenant."
Yesterday we brought our 8 year old son to a clinic to be circumsiced. Inorder for him not to be afraid we were very honest and talked to him that it is an operation that every man will undergo. But it seems he was more excited rather than being afraid.
While in the clinic the Doctor also explained everything what she's going to do.
We were at his side to comfort him. He endured all the pain without even crying. We told him to trust in the Lord because he is the source of all strength.
Some people have their child to be circumcised for medical reasons. In science it is explain that, it will help prevent HIV and other diseases that are sexually transmitted.
Some people also are just following traditions. Like us, Filipinos some of us believed that circumcision is a measure of how brave a young man is, and not to be bullied in his adulthood.
But for me I believed in the Bible and it is one of God's covenant between his people.

It's your choice. In the New Testament Roman 2: 25 - 29 clearly tells us that "circumcision is of the heart and not in the body to be a true believer. I hope your son has recovered and continue to be a true christian.
