Teardrops: Black June (A cry for Nigeria)
Like a tragic monster, came the month of June
Like the last days of Armageddon, it's full of doom
Each day I peruse through my news feed
Tears drop from my eyes, and my heart bleeds
People dying like flies
Blood of innocent souls looms our skies
Calamities everyday
our cry are all in vain
What was the sin of the one year old
Whose lifeless body floats the pool, stone cold?
We are all strangers in this world
And beyond the sky, is our abode
Just Yesterday, a tanker went out in flames
Many souls gone, who is to blame?
With teary eyes, I watched tape
I hear voices of innocent souls screaming in pains
I see fire burning through their bones
Oh! This world is not our own
You try to work hard everyday
Death comes snatching you away
Your sufferings all in vain
Your loved ones left in pains
Every night before I sleep
I pray to God my soul to keep
For death comes like a thief
It only takes grace to save us from it stings
Death is never our portion.

We don't really know when accidents, pains, or death will come. That is why we should always be prepaired and entrust our life to God for as you have said,
Thank you for sharing this. Its a wake up call for me to be more faithful to God and seek Him more in my life.
