Most new cars do not have a spare tire any longer. I believe this is already since years in the Netherlands, sometimes they give a kit so you can fix the tire yourself (it seems to be hard).

A bit of a car (the elderly) has a normal sized spare tire. Did you know if it is not used in years you need to buy a new one too?

Later they gave a smaller tire and now its 'less car' for more money.
I always asked if there is a spare tire with the car, if not I do not buy the car.

You never look at the profiles of your tires that it was a complete surprise to you?
