RE: The Man Cave | A New Social Community + New Coin Coming!
Good point! But I've always been a fan of openness, truth and honesty. If you can't share your whole self in the open what type of man are you? :) Are you lying to others, or yourself? :)
Hahaha, are you're trying to use the emotional argument here to imply that
It is your forum man, so of course you have the option to run it any which way you choose.
However, note that there is always a price to openness. It means that you will need a very strong community to guide the direction of the forum or risk it being invaded by foreign elements.
Historically speaking, there is hardly any forum / group of humans that has survived being completely open from day one without first being strong. The native Indians were open initial Europeans and were wiped out long before the USA as a country was formed.
Any society must first have a very strong governance, working-culture and direction first before it opens up to "outsiders". This usually takes some time e.g. 1 year. Even then these new "outsides" should only allowed in at very low rates (say 5% of total population per quarter). Sudden high influx of any foreign elements will quickly disrupt and overrun the group/forum.
