New technologies sprung almost every day and I bet something new just came up as we speak now. Technology advancement maybe is wonderful thing that has ever happen in human race, but I think to a certain degree. I question myself sometimes that am I capable to cope with changes that happen so rapidly? It is so fast and we cannot even control it not to change because everyone else in the world are up for it and has to adapt the changes. Whether we fully understand the consequences and impact aftermaths is another matter. Where is the manual to this for me to read and to prepare? Is there a course for me to attend? Can I download them and installed them straight into my body so it functions whatever it designed needs doing immediately? Boy, this is too much for a human body to take! But is it though? When are we going to say enough is enough?

You and you and yes you also, are aware of this posting in whatapps or even in FB that says exposing tablets and smartphones to you child might bring harms more than good. I can not agree more, tablets and smartphones make kids go busy and quiet, especially when parents has more urgent things to do than entertaining to their kids. Such a great bribery tool too but parenting experts say’s that using screen time as bribery or enticements may flip it. Parenting experts believe that screen time may have a negative effect on children’s developing brain. This then smash them to poor performance, personality and develop soft skills to live on the day to day lives. Hence violence, brutality, unemotional, unable to express feelings and unsympathetic are the usual end product to this kid. That’s really sad and I would never want to put my innocent kids lured into that situation, as a parent I know better. YES I do now?

So what do I do then, for your information I still let them play with their Tablets and smartphones but with limited time (weekends only for 3 hours). I balance their activities with reading books, playing outside and explore (these include allowing them get small bruise, feel hurts and know the mean pain and learn how to deal with it), swimming, interact with other kids, help me with groceries shopping, and I get the fun of stressing out telling them off what’s right and wrong too.

This is very important to introduce them the traditional hands on stuff, catch some bacteria outside for their immune system, and understand what normal human do.
