My new phone - Smartisan Nut Pro 2 : Unboxing and quick look

Friends who are close to me will know I enjoy being different. Not when coming to behavior but when coming in owning a smartphone. I am always impressed and love when smartphone manufacturer dare to explore, be different and also have their own characteristic. Replacing my 2 years aging, dying battery and software started to be sluggish LG G5 (I am still keeping the phone. It was an excellent smartphone for audio due to APTX HD enabled), I got myself a Smartisan Nut Pro 2.

Here are the quick look what's in the box. The phone itself, manual and instruction in chinese, power brick, USB Type C and also Type C converter to 3.5mm. Pretty standard packaging. The seller is kind enough to included a temper glass and also transparent casing to me.

Beside One Plus, this is my second china brand phone. Something not main stream definitely. What attracted me most is the design of the phone. It is square. I love squarish phone like Sony for sure. The phone is sandwich between two glasses (not sure which gorilla glass grade) and also metal frame on side that had thin line that goes around the frame.

If you're paying attention enough, you'll spot the 18:9 display on this phone which is a hit on 2017. Not a zero bezels phone for sure and I always felt that had a little space for top and bottom is good to hold the phone in landscape mode when watching video. At least a place to rest your thumb.

On the back, it might not look like it but it actually has dual camera setup and also the logo? Is actually a fingerprint sensor as well. The main camera is the one slightly raise out while the secondary camera (for depth capture) and LED flash are flush with the body.

On side, the buttons for volume rocker and also power button are round in shape instead of bar that we found on usual smartphone.
